The sizes are common recommendations and platforms may change them. Keep important elements in the middle of the image, since some interfaces crop the edges (especially covers and Stories). The image never leaves your device.

How the tool works

Upload your image and pick the platform and size, then drag the image inside the frame or zoom so the key parts stay visible. Choose “Fill the frame” for photos or “Fit” with a background colour for logos, and download the result as PNG, JPG or WebP at the exact size required.

The right image size for each platform

Every platform displays images at a different ratio. A picture designed for Instagram will be cropped or surrounded by empty space if you upload it unchanged to Facebook or LinkedIn. This tool converts your image to the right size in one click and lets you drag it inside the frame so the important parts stay visible.

  • Instagram: square 1080×1080, portrait 1080×1350, Stories and Reels 1080×1920.
  • Facebook: post 1200×630, page cover 1640×624.
  • X: post image 1600×900, header 1500×500.
  • LinkedIn: cover 1584×396, post 1200×627.
  • YouTube: thumbnail 1280×720.

Fill or fit?

“Fill” enlarges the image to cover the whole frame and crops the excess, best for photos. “Fit” shows the full image inside the frame with a background colour you choose, best for logos and products that must not be cropped.

Keep the key parts in the middle

Some interfaces crop the edges, especially covers (displayed differently on phone and desktop) and Stories (where the platform's buttons cover the top and bottom). Leave a safe margin around text, faces and logos.

Quality and file size

  • Always start from the largest original available, because upscaling adds no detail.
  • PNG for images with text and sharp edges, JPG or WebP for photos for a lighter file.
  • Compressing the image after cropping makes it upload and load faster.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between fill and fit?

Fill crops the image to cover the frame, while fit shows the whole image with empty space around it in a colour you choose.

Are the sizes up to date?

They are common recommended sizes. Platforms change them occasionally, so check the platform's limits if needed.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Images are processed in your browser and never leave your device.

Which format should I choose?

PNG for images with text and sharp edges, and JPG or WebP for photos for a lighter file.

Why does the image look soft?

Usually the original is smaller than the target size and gets enlarged. Start from the largest original available.
