How the tool works

Enter your page URL, title and description and add the image to see the card as it will appear on each platform, with length and image-ratio warnings. In the post text section, write your copy to see whether it exceeds X's limit and where it folds behind “See more” on Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook.

Why preview a post before publishing?

A link published once with a truncated title or a cropped image is hard to fix, because platforms cache the first version. Previewing the card before you post reveals long titles, flat descriptions and images cropped at the edges.

What shows on each platform?

  • Facebook: a large image, then the domain, a two-line title and a line of description.
  • X: a large image with the domain, and the title is usually cut to one line.
  • LinkedIn: an image and a two-line title with the domain, usually without a description.
  • WhatsApp: a card inside the chat with a short title and description and the domain beneath.

Post text: where does it fold?

Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook hide everything after the first few lines behind “See more”. Whatever you want everyone to read must come before the fold, with the rest for the interested reader. X sets a 280-character ceiling. The tool shows each platform's approximate fold and how many characters you have left.

Tips for a post people click

  • Lead with the benefit or a question, not a greeting.
  • Use three to five relevant hashtags.
  • Make the image 1.91:1 with little, legible text.
  • Test the link in the platform's official debugger after publishing.

Frequently asked questions

Is the preview exactly accurate?

It is an approximation. Platforms redesign periodically and cache old versions, so test the link in the platform's official debugger after publishing.

What title and description length is right?

A title up to 70 characters and a description of about 60 to 200 characters usually show without truncation.

Where does post text get cut?

On Instagram after roughly 125 characters, on LinkedIn around 210 and on Facebook around 480. Put the key message before that.

How many hashtags should I use?

Three to five relevant ones beat stuffing in dozens.

Are my images or texts saved?

No. Everything stays in your browser.
